Sunrise or Sunset
This is an interesting thing I remember from a drama.
By looking at this photo, what do you think it is. A sunrise or sunset?
Conclusion:
Actually both can be correct. People view things in different ways through their own interpretation of things. It is a neutral thing that there is no wrong or right. It is just the way of how you view it.
Visuals – Children
Children normally express things out in a very simple form and imaginative in some ways.
They don’t make things complex like what we did. All are very pure and natural.

Another Continuation of interview.
After the first round of interview i thought i might have offender her indirectly so i am kinda scared… But amazingly, she msg me in the morning telling me more stuff, so we met up again.
Part 2 Interview with ???
basically we would like to find out more on the feelings you have… or if you have any good friends you can intro to us and we could interview them. so as to know more. cause different people has different issue as well..like to know more of the problems faced

as you were saying about the diffrences between the schools.. advantage and disadvantage

SSD ( Singapore School for the Deaf ) vs CSHI ( Casso.. School HI )
SSD
– teach the sign language and train to speech ( not often )
– lot of activities and CCAs
– show emotions easily
CSHI
– No sign language. (where they learn this?)
– Must train to speech as subject.
– many pupils repeated cos they failed their speech test and exam in past. They were 18 years old to enter to the secondary school.
some pupils transfered from CSHI to SSD. They dun know how to sign. The pupils from SSD made the friends and taught them to how to sign. Or Outside they introduced to each other.
Do you feel uncomfortable in the education system provieded? the place where you study at.
Reply: some no and some yes.
izzit learning the same things? like language sicence history
useing same books?
Reply: except mother tongue.
The time spend for the education? 4 years also?
Reply: Normal sec, jc, poly.
modern years like now, normal primary.
but past, spent 8 ~ 7 years for primary.
so can go to normal pri and sec sch? JC also? like maybe Victoria JC.
I spent 7 years for primary. cos the teacher taught us very slowly.
how big was the classes?
Reply: 2 or 3 class of level. 11 or less pupils in each class.
As for the teachers, 1 teacher teach 3 subject
Do you get extra time off in the National exams? like PSLE n Olevel
how much more, do you think it is enough?
Reply: not enough for PSLE.
Have you went to some where before or a place and you felt that the design of the place does not cater to deaf patients? like the public place which have over look these people?
for example, blind people finding toliet in shopping malls, some got no direction.
Reply: The people already knew about the news early than the deaf people. also like in the sec and poly school during the lesson, I can’t hear what the teacher teach us.
then where did you get the news from?
Reply: newspaper and gossip from friends.
so do you enjoy watching movies more or books? or others? in your past time
Boring in book. movie with drama without eng subtitle, I can understand… cos i see the actor or actress’s emotions.
So am i right to say you guys have better observation skills. Cause i notice usually you could concentrate better or have more determination then the others.. From what i see, many of my friends that are handicap can do very well in work and studies.
so how long do you think your concentration is?like on a single work… before you start to feel bored and want to slack…
Reply: if anyone know the sign language, I will be not boring…
okok… So when you are angry or bored what do you do? like your past time? Comics?Manga?
Reply: If someone damage my treasure, angry with voice and sign fast.
If boring, go to comic
also boring most CNY. also everybody – deaf.
The relatives dun bother about the sign language.
as in they don’t want to learn? at first time, they wanted to learn very few. later, forgot.
So do you have any thoughts about your FUTURE? Like maybe university, getting married and such?
Reply: no plan for go to university cos i reach my limit.
no idea about future.
Do you fear married? like choosing of partners?
Reply:no or yes,
no, if gv born the handcaip baby like me, he/ she grow up AND find for the job not easily.
so on overall are you happy with your current life? Have you every like blame god and such?
Reply: I never think to blame anyone and god.
You are not in religion right?
church?Then?
Reply: Buddha
we went to the children care centre in nyp.
but was rejected.
we had to email the principal.
the most unfortunate thing was that,
we bumped into the principal.
oh well.
i wrote her an email.
she didnt seem that nice when we met her.
i’m still awaiting her reply.
Right now, our direction is to reintroduce the innocence of the kids into our system.
children that age are actually very pure.
isnt it good to remind the public that innocence is the purest?
ahahah.
right now i sound as though i’m preaching or some sort.

Revolution: a change of human perception
Instead of interviewing and targeting only at the disabled people, we changed our mindset and focused on our people like us, adults and especially child when the kid has yet to be fully influenced by the world and its systems.
The culture and lifestyle we are in grooms us into the established society where we just GO WITH THE FLOW. Influences from everywhere…education has indeed assisted in our understanding of the world we are living and to adapt to this environment, yet we lose our very touch of the fundamental nature of humankind.

Research – visuals
We research on random visuals that might create some idea for us at both library and also the internet.
And here are some examples we have got from the library books.
We are thinking of going to a more positive way of thinking instead of people’s emotions cause, I personally think that emotion is very hard to deal with, as every individual has their own perception and thinking.
Children’s Charities Association’s vision is ‘No Child Shall Lose’. This can interlink with what we want to portray of a more positive way.
