Chao Yang School is one of the schools run by the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN).

It was started on 11 January 1982 to cater to the increasing number of ESN Children who were on the waiting list with 48 students spread out in five classes. By June 1983, the enrolment had increased to 128. Its former premises at 341 Clemenceau Avenue, was formerly occupied by Chao Yang Special School, a Chinese school run by the Teoh Yeoh Huai Kuan. Its Chairman was Mr Teo Soo Chuan.

Recognizing the importance of a good foundation will pave the way, Chaoyang has developed our school program to prepare our students for further education at our association.

We developed our students at the early stages with the core skills of reading, writing and application of mathematical concepts in their daily life.

Our Vision
A caring school that develops pupils with special needs to achieve their fullest potential

Our Mission
To provide our children with necessary skills for independence and integration into society by developing their potential to the maximum.

STATEMENT
